Dear Debra, We can’t imagine our lives without Baron! He just turned one and has been the picture of health and happiness from day one. He is everything we could have hoped for in a family dog: loving, playful, smart, and just the right amount of mischievous. Whether he’s snuggling on the couch, playing fetch, or tormenting our poor cat, Baron keeps us laughing every single day. He’s also incredibly protective of our family. If the kids start roughhousing, Baron makes sure we know about it with his “security detail” barks. Recently, I had knee surgery, and he hasn’t left my side for over ten days. He takes his role as nurse just as seriously as he does guard dog. Both my husband and I have had other family dogs in the past, but neither of us has ever fallen quite so hard in love as we have with Baron. Even his trainer was smitten! When he was little, we sent him for a two week program, and she told us she’d never seen such a smart pup in such a small package. He retained everything he learned and continues to amaze us with how quick he is. Truly, he is the smartest dog we’ve ever had.

I don’t even want to think about the day we’ll have to say goodbye to Baron, but when that time comes, I know exactly where I’ll be going for another perfect Havanese, from Debra at Royal Havanese Court. In the meantime, I’ll keep recommending her to friends and family who are looking for a loyal, brilliant, and perfectly pint-sized fur baby.
